That is great that your friend is training with Team! Last year I trained for the Nashville half-marathon and it was an amazing experience for all of the reasons you mention. If your friend is looking for fundraising support, my personal trainer was just telling me that he would like to get involved with a non-profit. I suggested that he host small group fitness classes for a donation that would go towards a Team in Training participant’s fundraising goal. He loved the idea–unfortunately I don’t know anyone who is currently fundraising.
