The Vet asked and I said YES!
So, I come to you as an engaged Lawgirl now. I know you have questions, so here are some answers.
1. Did he buy you a ring? No, we are going to go shopping at some point for one. I’ve told him that in this economic times, we don’t need to spend a lot of money. It might be a ring, it might be a necklace, we’ll see what tickles my fancy when we go shopping. You know I’m not conventional in my ways.
2. Have we set a date? Nope. Probably not going to be anytime soon. This is enough of a commitment for both of us at this time. We wanted something that showed we were committed to each other, and I’ve told him that we can go for a long engagement. When we do get married, we will probably just elope. He was married for some time to his first wife and was widowed after 20 years by his second wife. Neither one of us needs a big ceremony (after all, I’m not a spring chicken myself.)
So, just wanted to share. We are very happy and in love.
Hope you’re all doing well.

Congrats, congrats, congrats! I’m so happy for the both of you!
Okay so as a new bride to be, you are going to be looking through those magazines for the perfect dress, the perfect bouquet, the perfect everything. Now, I just got married myself to the man of my dreams, and he is awesome!! He lives in Egypt, so I don’t get to see him very often, except I can travel for almost next to nothing. I can go to the Bahamas, to Egypt, Stay in Luxor at the Sonesta St. George for $600/week. That is a great price, considering it is like a Marriott!! So, my question is, I know you are also going to be looking for a great honeymoon spot! Fiji, Aspen, Alaska, Egypt.. if any of those places around the globe strike your fancy, I invite you to my website, where I can introduce you to a lifetime of fun, dream or awesome priced vacations that you would normally pay out of your nose for. Even as a lawyer, as money is important to anyone, let me save you some.. I will respect this as your space, and I won’t say anymore, but if you would like, you can e-mail me at:
marissahashem@yahoo.com Either way, I do wish you the utmost best.. and have a wonderful life. Take Care!!!

I get you on the ring and stuff. We eloped and have simple wedding bands, nothing fancy because that’s just not us.
@ Maurian – Thanks !! Any words of advice?
@ Sleepy Scott – Thanks!!
@ Andrea – Thanks sweetie!! I am SO happy. I would love to just get some simple wedding bands. It’s all I want or need. And eloping sounds perfect.
