Meh
So last night, even though I had a crappy crappy crappy day yesterday, I kept my social engagement with Fishstix to play trivia so that he could meet a girl I kind of know through Pixel. She’s a very nice girl, I just don’t know her very well yet.
And what happened? Of course, I won the big game!! And where was Pixel? Not there. He has his daughter this week, so he had much better things to do than play trivia last night (he is such a great dad). And of course, once he reads this, he will be sure and tell you that the only reason I won is because he wasn’t there. Yup, keep telling yourself that, my friend.
Can I tell you that we’ve been there so much playing trivia on Wednesday nights that I walked in and the bartender pointed at me and said, Cherry Coke? Yeah, we’re regulars.
As I had today off, i slept in for awhile and then decided that I had better get my hiney in gear and cash my paycheck. I’m between banks right now, so I didn’t have my check directly deposited, as I normally do. At work, we’ve switched our account from Bank A to Bank B. So, I go to Bank B. They tell me that yes, the check is drawn on Bank B, but that they can’t cash it for me because they don’t have a check-cashing agreement with The Law Firm.
WTF?!?!? I don’t recall ever having heard of such a thing. So then I started trying to find a place to cash the check. This took me 2 freaking hours, because most places (like Walmart, Kroger, or Giant Eagle) won’t cash checks over a certain $ amount. I was especially pissed at Walmart, because I called them and said, what is your limit on payroll checks? They said $3000. Awesome, my check falls under that, so I show up and find out that it’s actually $1100. F*ckers.
I’m sorry stupid f*cking banks – do you not get that PEOPLE are your customers, not the almighty dollar???? Without a human being to spend, you wouldn’t have a frakking thing to do?? Bank customer service is an oxymoron.
So, I finally had to go to a cash advance place and they cashed my check….for $35. Niiiiiice. I will be emailing the accounting department at the Firm on Monday.
By then, it was 4pm and I hadn’t had a single thing to eat all day. So I stopped at a local Bob Evans and had some pancakes to make me feel better. They’re not as good as Cracker Barrel’s, but they do in a pinch. Then I came home and crashed again.
So, tomorrow I am going to lunch with Wa-wa and then heading over to The Veteran’s for the weekend. He’s making me enchiladas from scratch. Yes, I’m spoiled.
If you are traveling this weekend, please be safe. If you are playing with fireworks, please be smart.

I personally like the pancakes with cinammon, Mmmmm….
It’s just wrong anytime that you can’t get your hands on your own hard-earned cash.
Have a good holiday and enjoy the spoilage
Ron – strawberries, all the way!!
One Wink – I know – so then I get my expense reimbursement today – and it’s drawn on Bank C!!! WTF???
