RBoC Tuesday (okay, not ALL are crap)

- This lady found me through her blog. We have the same design, the same interest in tulips of the orange/yellow variety, and we’re both Pisces. Take a look at this.
- I am watching Battlestar Galactica I am on the miniseries and I love it already. In fact, I was going to write more than I am going to do so tonight, but I started watching this and can’t tear myself away. Mischa and Pixel both recommended it and they were right, it’s great. What I love most? The music.
- I’ve been having laptop issues, but Pixel himself came over and worked on this laptop for 3 hours last night. Not only did he fix it, but he also brought me a movie and a documentary about Heroes from the BBC. He’s awesome!! I hate whoring out my friends like that, but he was very generous in helping out. He’s such a good friend; even though he’s not a girl (and is in no way a girlie-man), he is also the type of friend that one can just lie down on the bed with and have a great conversation. Sorry girls, though, he’s taken (no, not by me, lol). But he’s still a great friend and I do appreciate him.
- Speaking of dating, Pookie and I had a conversation today. We might reconcile. Yes, yes, I’m the moron girl who cries breakup. I overreacted. I took a hit and I reacted like an injured animal. And it was wrong. In the 7 months that he and I have been involved in some way, nothing like this has happened – nothing else has happened that should make me distrust him. I think that he was upset about his job and I overreacted. Should he have called me or texted me first? Yes. But he was upset about his job, and men are often defined by their jobs. It’s understandable that he took care of that need first. This time.
- The Illusionist totally effed things up again. And I’m just sitting back and watching the show. BossLady said it’s okay to watch her fail, if that’s what she is going to do.
- I’ve had 6 hours of sleep in 2 days because I’ve been out of my Halcion and in too much pain to sleep. I look forward to sleeping tonight.
- Miley is in town for the rest of the week. I loves me my Miley time.:-)
- I called my mom a wuss for turning on her heat yesterday. I finally had to turn mine on today. I’m a half-wuss.
- Wales and I had lunch with Abbysmom today Leeneybugs started her new job today. Go her!!
- May is going to be a lot of travel for me. I’m kind of down about that, but life will go on.
- I have many more things to post about, but I am tired. If I can, I will write more tonight.

I have days and weeks like this, when I’m literally bursting with things to say and share and end up not having time. Blogging is time-consuming!
My husband is a big BG fan; me, I’m not a tv watcher. I don’t like “commiting” to something that requires my time or attention every week. Or more, or less, often, even. Same reason I don’t dye my hair… ha!

I’d heard about Sci-Fi channel doing a remake of Battlestar Galactica a year or so before it came out and i was one of the skeptics. I missed the first showing of the mini-series, but caught the tail end of a re-run just before the first season of the series started. I have to say I was just blown away and I’ve been a die hard BSG fan ever since. And you’re right, the music is just amazing. When the DVD’s came out for the first season I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them and I finally saw the original mini-series from beginning to end. In some ways I’d say you’re lucky to be just coming into it now as it’s been a rough ride for fans getting their BSG “fix”. There was over a year gap between seasons 3 and 4 due to the writer’s strike and just the way the Sci-Fi channel has scheduled things. Almost as bad was the 9 month gap between Seasons 2 & 3 and 6 months in the middle of season 2 (Hence the 2.0 and 2.5 sets of DVD’s). Sorry, I digress. lol
I’ll refrain some saying more so as not to spoil the fun of watching. Enjoy!
