Update to Mel Gibson post
You know, I am not happy with my post about Mel Gibson. I know what I was trying to say, but I can’t get it out there, for some reason. Probably stress. So, it’s a bad post, but for now, I’ll leave it there.
However, I am having fun with Rob Schneider’s open letter to Mel in Variety.
Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo star Rob Schneider took a full page in trade magazine Variety to air his opinion on the recent bizarre behavior by fellow actor Mel Gibson.
Schneider is the first actor to go on record that he will never work with Mel Gibson due to the anti-Semitic remarks made when Gibson was arrested last Friday.
Wow, talk about kicking a man when he was down. I bet Mel is saying to himself, if I had only known that one of the unforeseen consequences of my behavior was that I would not realize my dream of working with Rob Schneider (one of the greats of our gneration), I would have thought before I drank or spoke.
Don’t get me wrong; I share Rob Schneider’s opinion of Mel (and I’m not even Jewish). But he obviously has a somewhat misguided view of his power in Hollywood (or even a 7-Eleven.)
